There are also a range of fixes, some of which you won’t see right away. You’ve got much greater customization within your personality, for example; you begin the game by choosing your appearance, and you can continue to modify your look when you want with Animal Crossing Items a surprisingly large number of hairstyles and clothing options. After I unlocked the clothes store in my city, I stopped paying off my mortgage and rather spent much money on shoes and coats.
Similarly, you have a whole lot more leeway for inspecting your residence. Much like in the spinoff Happy Home Designer, there is a simple menu for moving furniture about, so you don’t need to drag items around the space, and there are more options for where you place things. I have one wall filled with hanging plants, and also what a walk-in cabinet with shoes and hats on the walls. Two of my favorite improvements are a new tool ring so that you can quickly access your axe or net whenever you require it and a smartphone program that keeps track of every bug and fish you’ve caught. Fantastic for completionists.
What this amounts to is a greater amount of management more control over the way you look, where you live, what you do, and how you do it. It seems just like the very first game in the series that gives you the freedom to perform just how you would like to, while the core of New Horizons is just like past matches. There are multiple methods to solve a problem. You can buy a replacement or make a new one, if your fishing pole breaks; if you’re short on cash, you can go fishing or venture into a puzzle island to assemble fruit that is rare. I have not even unlocked the option where you are able to personalize the landscape by knocking cliffs down and building pathways. (I did just build my first ramp… but I must wait till tomorrow to actually use it.)
When you factor in the character where there are no time constraints and there’s no punishment for doing things you end up with arguably the game in the series thus far. It’s also easily the best-looking, keeping up the adorable art style of the series but adding in greater detail and bigger locales. Seriously, the new museum is among my favourite gaming locations ever; it is a huge space where you can just wander about with friends considering butterflies and T. rex skeletons. All in all, the world just feels more alive. I enjoy meeting up to listen to buy Animal Crossing Bells them sing gibberish or heading out on a Sunday morning to see my animal friends exercising in the town square.
