Can anyone comment on the connectivity to PSO2 Meseta this US Servers as a Phantasy Star Online 2 player from the United Kingdom? What is the Ping/Connection characteristic like? Does it impact in any way? Everything is instanced on your end. Monsters behave as they usually would and damage is updated instantly for everyone involved, but if you should dodge something or be struck by something in your display, it won’t matter what anyone else sees, only what you see.
PVP is a story as you do not have instanced versions of other Phantasy Star Online 2 players, meaning lag is a real issue. In circumstances of host lag, or extreme lag, it may be noticeable. It’s not immune, however it is free of concern. Once some time server lag has been working should be entirely gone. That is the reason why so many English Phantasy Star Online 2 gamers have tolerated playing on JP for so long.
That is…. Not surprising, but unbelievably disappointing. I had a fantastic chunk of friends who were likely to play, but the windows store instantly scared off them. Being a f2p MMO onto a healthy platform would’ve been amazing for Phantasy Star Online 2. IDK why people seem to believe the windows shop isn’t a stage. It’s never diminished the presence of SoT and Minecraft is currently chugging along just fine for it’s market appeal.
I think that it’s more that Steam is the home of PC gambling. Folks have their friends on there all and Steam has lots of attributes that the Microsoft store does not. There is also the simple fact that making Phantasy Star Online 2 a Microsoft store exclusive means they are likely to buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta get much fewer PC Phantasy Star Online 2 gamers than they could have gotten. It is in the best interest of everyone to watch Phantasy Star Online 2 get as many Phantasy Star Online 2 gamers as possible and Steam plays with a part in that. I really do hope a Steam variant comes earlier or later, but I am personally not that ripped up about having to utilize the Microsoft shop until then.
