And so much of discussion around Fortnite Items orbits its face. Strip away the meme dances, the 20 skins, the star streamers, the brash teens. What’s left is only a creative, astonishing, humorous, and totally unique shooter. And it’s free.
I’m horrible at Fortnite, but that hasn’t stopped me from having fun with it. The building system and bright, cartoony world bring me back to playing with toys as a child –it’s the rare multiplayer game in which the more inventive and creative you’re, the greater. Largely, though, I’ve enjoyed seeing Fortnite evolve week-by-week, maintaining its countless gamers on their feet by constantly upending the meta. Thus far, at least, Epic has cared about catering to the competitive arena, while the remainder of the world is desperate to launch the upcoming big esport. Consider just how amazing this is: the largest game on the planet is being designed using a cavalier spaghetti-on-the-wall mindset.
Jarred: I rarely make it to the last 10 when I perform, but the buy fortnite materials regular limited time manners are a great diversion. They’re chaotic and sometimes don’t work, but the 50v50 fort conflicts were amazing. Law of averages is on my side because sort of competition.
